Apply to pulse points

There is actually a functional reason why we tend to put perfume on our pulse points (like the insides of your wrists and elbows, behind your ears, on your neck, the backs of your knees, etc.) Fragrance, the scent process begins.

Don't rub your wrists together

Once you apply perfume to your pulse points, it may be instinctive to rub your wrists or elbows together to incorporate the fragrance. Experts stress not to do this: friction causes the top ingredients to burn faster. Which affects the life of the fragrance.

If you want to mix two perfumes together, try putting your wrists together instead of creating friction. You can also put your wrist on your arm, neck, or anywhere you like without messing with the lifespan of the perfume.

spray on your heart

Since applying perfume to your pulse points helps spread the scent, why not apply it where your pulse is strongest? You can spray the perfume on the skin area above the heart; Your heart will act as a diffuser throughout the day.

after shower

Apply perfume right after taking a shower, as the steam helps open up the scent. When you get out of the shower, your skin and body are both hot (and we know heat helps diffuse fragrance). In addition, your skin is clean and free of sweat and excess oils, which can reduce fragrance. Your pores are open and your skin is naturally hydrated, so moist skin retains its scent.

You don't have to shower to help retain the scent of your perfume. A body oil, body lotion, or moisturizing conditioner will also help keep the fragrance in for longer. Simply apply the product of your choice to the areas where you want to spray the fragrance and the moisture mist will help the fragrance leave a stronger effect.

Apply layers of perfume

If you have a scented body oil and/or lotion, layering it under your perfume can enhance the fragrance and keep your skin hydrated, making both scents last longer.

You can also layer perfumes, if you choose: “When different scents come together, you have a more intense combination of top, middle and bottom notes. This definitely helps make the fragrance last.
