While hair loss is reversible, hair regrowth can take about 1-3 months. In extreme cases, it can lead to permanent hair loss.

Causes of hair loss?

Many external factors can lead to hair loss:

Nutritional imbalance: Often, a poor diet is responsible for nutritional imbalance. Lack of essential nutrients such as vitamins B3, Vitamin D, iron, proteins and fats can lead to severe hair loss.

 Maintain a healthy diet by eating fresh fruits and vegetables every day.

 Nuts and seeds should also be added to your diet to promote hair growth. Avoid excessive intake of processed and unhealthy foods.

Heredity: Some people may experience hereditary hair loss. If you can't find any obvious cause for your hair loss, your genetic makeup may be to blame.

Reaction to certain medications or treatments: Some medications can disrupt your hair's growth cycle and prevent it from growing. Treatments such as chemotherapy can also cause hair loss.

Excessive heat styling: Excessive heat exposure can dry out your hair. Heat can also change the internal protein structure of the hair and cause hair to break. To prevent this, limit heat styling and use heat protectant products.

Natural hair loss versus abnormal hair loss, how do you differentiate?

If the loss is more than 100 hairs on average, or if you notice hair thinning, you may be experiencing unusual hair loss. It can often be difficult to distinguish normal hair loss from abnormal hair loss, but if you notice more tufts of hair on your pillow or comb, see a dermatologist.
